1. About us

This website is operated by Diyadahara Lake Resort, located at Yoda Kandiya Lake, near Yala National Park, Sri Lanka. You can reach us at info@diyadaharalakeresort.lk or +94 70 223 9553.

2. Using our website

• You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking or payment.
• You agree to give accurate, current and complete information when you send an inquiry or make a payment.
• You may not use this website for any unlawful, fraudulent or unauthorised purpose.

3. Reservations & confirmation

Booking requests sent through our website are inquiries. A reservation is confirmed only when our reservations team confirms it to you in writing by email or WhatsApp, and — where required — the advance payment has been received.

We may decline or cancel a booking request, for example if the room is no longer available, if a price was displayed in error, or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel after taking a payment, it is refunded in full.

4. Rates & pricing

• Rates are per room, per night unless stated otherwise, and may change until your booking is confirmed. The rate in your written confirmation is the rate you pay.
• Prices may be shown in US Dollars (USD) or Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). Converted amounts are for guidance; the currency and amount in your confirmation or payment page apply.
• Any applicable government taxes and service charges are shown in your confirmation.
• Promotions and package offers are valid for limited periods and may carry extra terms.

5. Payments

Online card payments are processed securely by our payment partner, PayHere (Pvt) Ltd. We accept the card types shown on the PayHere payment page, such as Visa and Mastercard.

• By paying, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment card and you authorise us to charge the amount shown, including applicable taxes.
• Your full card details are entered on PayHere's secure page. We never see or store your full card number or security code.
• You will receive a payment confirmation by email once the transaction succeeds.

6. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations, date changes and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Check-in, check-out & your stay

• Check-in is from the time stated in your confirmation; check-out is by the time stated in your confirmation. Early check-in or late check-out can be requested in advance, subject to availability.
• A valid national identity card or passport is required for every adult guest at check-in.
• Room occupancy may not exceed the maximum number of guests stated for the room.
• Guests are responsible for any damage to resort property caused during their stay.

8. Guest conduct

Please respect the resort, our team, fellow guests and the natural surroundings, including wildlife at the lake and on safari near Yala National Park. We may ask a guest who seriously disrupts others or endangers people, property or wildlife to leave, without refund.

9. Excursions & third-party services

We are happy to arrange safaris, transfers and other excursions with trusted local providers. These services are provided by those third parties under their own terms, and national park rules and fees are set by the relevant authorities.

10. Limitation of liability

We take care to keep the information on this website accurate, but descriptions, photos and availability may change and are provided for guidance.

To the extent permitted by law, Diyadahara Lake Resort is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss, injury or damage arising from activities outside the resort premises or from services provided by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Sri Lankan law.

11. Intellectual property

All text, photographs, logos and other content on this website belong to Diyadahara Lake Resort or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our prior written permission.

12. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. The terms in force when your booking was confirmed apply to that booking.
